Donations for my Dad's Cancer Fund. -
Update:
Some good news for once! My dad got back some test results recently that indicated his cancer cell count was down. He’s still scheduled for 3 more sessions of chemo. After that, there’s a possibility they’re going to just lance out the rest through surgery. They said it wasn’t quite in remission, so my dad isn’t really out of the woods yet.
The insurance company still hasn’t gotten back to us. We’re still waiting on their response from the paperwork we sent them. The hospital has been helpful and understanding; however, the bills are still piling on and they’re getting scarier with each passing week. We’re getting bills and reminders almost bi-weekly at this point.
As I mentioned, I got some luck with a job interview. I think I did well. I think I might get the job. Here’s hoping, I mean… The bad part about this is the waiting process. They told me they could take up to 2 weeks, which means I still can’t help my parents with bills.
It’s gotten harder especially this month since my grandmother had to go to the hospital for a few days after she fell ill. She’s out now, but the bills for her hospital stay are going to the fall on the shoulders of my grandfather and my parents.
So, as you can imagine money is an issue once again. I really hate asking again, but I need help from you all. If you click the link above, you can donate to help my family. Every amount counts, really. I understand things are tough for all of us right now, so I understand if you can’t help, but if you could signal boost for me, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks.
I can’t donate, but here’s a major signal boost for a really awesome person. <33 I wish the best of luck to you and your father.
Signal boosting! Keep it going.

How Fingerprinting Food Stamp Recipients Hurts Everyone
Every year, thousands of New Yorkers must report to state offices for government fingerprinting. These residents aren’t criminals. They’re applying to receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits, commonly known as food stamps. New York is poised to end this system, but there are still those who think it’s necessary to avoid fraud. Sarah Parsons says this is flawed logic.
